Know for Sure: Gospel of Luke Bible Study
Know for Sure: Gospel of Luke Bible Study
12 weeks | 5 lessons/wk | 10-20 minutes/lesson
Do you wonder what it was like to be around Jesus? Would it be easier to follow Christ if you could know “for sure” what really happened? Luke states as he begins his account of the life of Jesus, that he has done so, that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.
Of the four Gospel writers, Luke is the least likely. He was not one of the disciples, did not know or see Jesus himself, and in fact, was not even Jewish! He was a Gentile—the only non-Jewish author of the entire Bible. Most scholars consider him to have been a Greek convert to the Christian faith, possibly having heard the Gospel from the apostle Paul himself. Trained as a physician, he writes in a manner that is meticulous, studious, and well-researched. His attention to detail creates an intimate look at people and events that changed the world forever. Let his “orderly account” draw you in to experience what it was like to live in such a time in history, and to have certainty concerning the truth about Jesus Christ!
