Return to Me: Minor Prophets 1 Bible Study

The prophets of the Old Testament  were God’s voice, calling the leaders and nations of Israel and Judah back to the Lord, and reminding them that their choices could lead either to life or death, blessing or destruction.  Though some of the prophets were contemporaries, each delivered a unique word of the Lord. This study will look at the first four Minor Prophets—Hosea, Joel, Amos, and Obadiah. Hosea will call us to faithful love for a faithful God, Joel will remind us that now is the time to repent and return, Amos will challenge our values and priorities, and Obadiah will assure us of God’s justice for His people. Additionally, we will learn characteristics of prophetic writings, how to understand them in their historical context, and see that messages delivered long ago still hold truth for us today.
